NHS Mental Health Nurse, Band 6, Havant. A senior Band 6 Mental Health Nurse is needed to join a busy team in Havant. The role involves working within a team who will be delivering care for inpatients who are presenting with a functional mental illness - such as depression, a personality disorder or schizophrenia. The 34-bedded hospital provides care and treatment to people who are experiencing an acute mental health crisis and require a short period of hospital care to support their recovery. The wards' approach to care is 'recovery-focused' and delivered by a multi-disciplinary team made up of nursing staff, doctors, psychologists, health care support workers, occupational therapists and a chaplain. The role is an initial 3 Month, NHS contract with likelihood of extension. The role is full-time and covers a flexible shift pattern including long days and nights. The hourly rate for the role is £29p/h for Monday - Friday daytime hours, £33p/h for Saturdays and Nights and £37p/h for Sundays and Bank Holidays. Candidates must be a qualified RMN with a valid NMC Pin, and must have previous experience leading and working with patients who have mental health issues.
