Consultant Psychiatrist in Locked Rehabilitation hospital Leicester Salary - £130,000 - £160,000 We are currently assisting a growing private provider of mental health services in the recruitment of a Consultant Psychiatrist to work in a Locked Rehabilitation hospital which caters for individuals with Enduring Mental illness and/or personality disorder. The hospital has been designed to world class standards and has been succesfully operating for a number of years at near-full occupancy and with Good CQC reports. The organisation are keen to bring on a Consultant to work on a permanent, full time basis, who can not only lead the clinical staff, but also provide strategic input into the development of the service. The post holder will work within the hospital with individuals detained under the MHA or who are admitted to hospital informally. Most patients are admitted directly or have been stepped down from a PICU. Patients will generally be experiencing difficulties due to a range of conditions including bipolar disorder, psychosis, depression, personality disorder, self-harm, dual diagnosis, enduring mental illness, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and others. The aim of the unit is to rehabilitate patients for discharge directly into the community or to a community-based service. As well as working with an established MDT the role holder will have an input in shaping the staffing and care pathways provided as the service admits more patients and establishes itself within the community. Candidate Requirements - All role holders must have completed their Specialist training and have a CCT/CCST - Registration to practice with the GMC - Specialisation accreditation in Adult/General or Forensic Psychiatry - Excellent communication skills and ability to lead an MDT - A desire to help other All candidates will be subject to DBS checks and must be authorised to practice in the UK.
