Maintenance Engineer

A maintenance Engineer role for a manufacturer in Burnley on a 3-6 month temporary basis. Potential for perm Your new company They produce charcoal based products from a large site in the Burnley area and are currently growing year on year. They have been established for over 20 years and are looking to continue their growth. Your new role You will mainly be providing reactive maintenance as well as helping with occasional PPM throughout your time here. The machines you will be required to fix include conveyors, weighing machines, case erectors, shrink wrapping machines and occasionally guillotines. You will also be required to be pro-active when not carrying out repairs providing general factory maintenance. The hours are available either on a twilight shift on Monday - Thursday from 12:30 - 22:30, or you could potentially do an earlier shift as well from 8-4. You will assist with writing reports for maintenance and carry out tasks allocated by the help desk and management. What you'll need to succeed To succeed in this role a HNC/HND would be desirable but not essential and past experience with conveyor machinery and other process machinery would be a distinct advantage. You will need to be pro-active in your duties and work well with the other maintenance engineers on site. You will need to be hands on and electrical knowledge or experience would also be quite desirable. What you'll get in return In return you will receive an hourly rate between £14.50 and £16 per hour DOE and will attain holiday pay throughout your time working for the equivalent of 28 days. There is also the chance to go permanent. After 12 weeks you will be entitled to everything the permanent engineers receive.
