Overview
A global manufacturer & supplier of Industrial paints and coatings are currently looking for a Technical Support Chemist to be responsible for improving product quality internally & externally. This role will be based in Redditch and will involve working closely with the General Manager, Quality team and Technical Director. Commutable from: Birmingham, Coventry, Warwick, Redditch, Alcester, Bromsgrove, Worcester, and Kidderminster. Salary: £ 2 0,000 - £ 23,000 plus excellent benefits. The Role: As the Technical Support Chemist, you will be responsible for: Improving product quality internally and externally. Work with the General Manager to lead a technical team in process development and improvement. Develop a good working relationship with customers and provide technical support relating to quality and manufacturing efficiency. Manage product information such as Formulations and assist with Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Dangerous Goods Notices (DGN) and product costs. Provide accurate product cost information. Maintain and improve the technical operating system. The Candidate will be: As the Technical Support Chemist, you will have: Experience within a similar position within paint or coating manufacturing and the different types of coating materials ie. Solvent based alkyd, Acrylic, Epoxies etc. Degree educated or equivalent. A strong background in implementing process improvement and quality. Experience working with customers with excellent communication skills. Highly organised. Strong work ethic. Computer literate. Proactive nature.
