Technical Staffing Resources (TSR) are the in-house agency and master vendor for KBR who are a leading global engineering, construction, and services company. KBR support the hydrocarbon and government services markets on six continents. Serving their customers through diverse business units, KBR offer challenging assignments on some of the world's largest and most complex projects. KBR are looking for an experienced DevOps Business Analyst (SC cleared) on a 12-month contract, paying £650 per day, based nationally - key locations include Midlands, London & Leatherhead. Background Transforming Forensics (TF) is a national programme delivering new capabilities into policing to enable forensic service delivery of a fully integrated forensic service that will better support policing and the wider criminal justice system and adapt more readily to future needs. The Business Analyst will be responsible for providing business design support to all projects across the programme. Tasks will cover the entire design and delivery cycles, from requirements capture and analysis to supporting process change. The Business Analyst will work within the Design team, reporting to the TF Programme Manager. The Business Design Lead will act as manager for tasks and roles assigned within the TF Programme. Core Responsibilities and Duties • Support Transforming Forensics projects through all phases from definition through to delivery and close. • Generate and analyse functional and non-functional requirements, reporting on gaps, overlaps and status. • Preparing business process diagrams, documenting ‘As Is’ and ‘To Be’ processes with value flows. • Assisting in the development and / or implementation of Target Operating Models. • Design, implement and maintain business architecture, including operating, governance and value models. • Undertake and document capability road map exercises. • Provides analysis and support material for potential change events to allow each project to make informed decisions. Develop, review and document project options and strategies to best deliver value. • Provide guidance on programme activities into each project – act as a thread of commonality across multiple projects. • Provide guidance, support and design input to ensure the FCN services are integrated and optimised with an awareness of future growth paths. • Lead workshops with a wide range of stakeholder backgrounds. • Establish priorities for the completion of assigned tasks in line with design team objectives. • Provide other business design and architecture work as directed by the Head of Design. • SC clearance and Warwickshire NPPV3 (for non-police staff) vetting is required for this post owing to the sensitive nature of information to be dealt with and the agencies involved. (NPPV3 can be obtained once the applicant is successful.) Qualifications, Experience and Skills Essential: • Hold, eligible to apply for UK based security clearance and Warwickshire NPPV3 Clearance • Experience in the supporting of design consulting services to policing, government or a similar agency, within challenging timescales. • Self-motivated with a proven ability to working with high-performing teams and services. • High levels of empathy and strong interpersonal skills (e.g. listening to understand). • Proven experience of providing business design support to complex ICT change programmes. • Prove experience of developing and support business change processes in highly regulated environments. • Solid understanding of enterprise, service and business architectural work. • Proven experience working from initial vision setting, requirements gathering, capability gap analysis, through to service design and delivery. • Excellent organisation and planning skills with the ability to prioritise a demanding workload and resources to meet objectives and deadlines. • Degree level qualification or equivalent experience in design. Desirable: • Knowledge of data analysis, management and storage techniques. • Qualifications in process optimisation (e.g. Sigma Six). • Business change qualifications or experience. Any other relevant professional qualifications such as BCS Business Analysis. • Experience or knowledge of the policing or forensic science customer landscape, including digital forensics.
