The work will include a wide range of key deliverables for the business, including the product pricing, new product development, profitability and sales monitoring, assumption review and setting, and assessment of distribution details. The work will require very strong quantitative and analytical skills using cutting edge actuarial and statistical techniques. Responsibilities as our Product Pricing Actuarial Analyst: - Perform profitability analysis by product segmentation. - Optimise and run pricing models and perform assessments of existing pricing strategies - Support product development initiatives, including market research - Prepare reports for the relevant Committees - Perform the end to end reprice process for existing business - Assess the viability of commercial deals and submit proposals to senior management - Assist in the data analysis required for new product developments and re-pricing. - The candidate would be supported in, and is expected to be working towards qualifying as an Actuary on the company study scheme. No exemptions to actuarial exams are required. To become our Product Pricing Actuarial Analyst, you will have the below skills and experience: Essential - A levels or equivalent in a technical / analytical subject - Experience of working with Microsoft Excel and Access, as well as statistical modelling tools such as R/SQL - Ability to grasp concepts of a technical nature quickly - Ability to develop a sound understanding of the underlying business environment - Ability to multi-task, managing several projects concurrently - Flexibility, ability to investigate and reconcile differences in outputs - Results driven and self motivated Desirable - Further Education qualification in a technical / analytical subject - Further qualifications in data analysis / software - Excellent data analysis skills (advanced excel, access, visual basic etc) - Visual basic for Excel at an intermediate level - Experience of Prophet (actuarial modelling software) or similar software package - Experience of working within project teams and dealing with clients and stakeholders Closing Date: Friday 3rd April 2020 Working for Vitality , you'll experience an exciting mix of creativity and innovation, within a framework of challenging objectives and a passion for delivering the best.
