Overview

We are recruiting for a full time, permanent Support Worker to work with adults with complex needs based in Cheltenham including Physical Disabilities and Learning Disabilities. Paying £8.84 rising to £9.11 upon completion of a successful 3 month probationary period, sleep-in rate paid at £73.89 with 28 days annual leave and 6 months sick pay. Responsibilities for Support Worker Include: Assisting with moving and handling including using the aid of tracking hoists, wheelchairs and stand aids Assisting with personal care including bathing, showering and incontinence care Administering medication Assisting with the participation of internal and external activities including the integration within the community Promoting all levels of Independence within the home and seeking employment/ volunteer positions Being creative when assisting service users with daily routines to ensure living a fulfilling life Able to be approachable and communicate via other means other than verbal Completion on daily notes in line with CQC procedures Personal Specification for Support Worker: To have an empathetic and respectful nature towards the service users and their home To be reliable and trustworthy The ability to be creative and encouraging when supporting service users to be as independent as possible Must hold a full driving licence Flexible to work on a shift pattern including earlies, lates and sleep ins weekdays and weekends Features and benefits: Working for a reputable organisation 3 months full sick pay, 3 months 1/2 sick pay on completion of probation Recommend a friend scheme Company pension contribution Paid training 40p per mile mileage for attending training and any business mileage Progression Ability to contribute to development and business decisions Staff rota 5-6 weeks in advance Access to National Diploma Level 2 and 3 Health and Social Care Access to additional training to develop a well-rounded knowledge including Epilepsy, Benefits, Data Protection, Dementia etc. Working for service user driven organisation where the quality is priority Don't miss out on being rewarded with amazing job satisfaction and feeling part of a community.
