Are you looking for a role that is exciting and rewarding, where you can use your skills to communicate in an empathetic manner to help those in a medical emergency? Tate are working with the NHS and South Western Ambulance Service in Bristol and we are looking to recruit dynamic individuals to join our clients clinical hub who can work under pressure, sometimes in very stressful and emotional situations. 999 call-takers receive emergency calls, prioritising patients to ensure the most appropriate help is arranged, and where necessary give life-saving instructions. The role is varied, also dealing with requests from hospitals, GPs and other healthcare professionals, as well as enquiries from the general public. Can you stay calm and professional in a pressurised environment, effectively receiving and recording information accurately? The Service is 24/7, 365 days a year, and the shift pattern covers these hours working on a rotation basis. We need individuals who have a good standard of education to include 3 GCSEs at Grade C or above (including English Language), or equivalent qualifications or experience, and good computer literacy. Some call-centre experience would be an advantage, but not essential. We will provide a full training programme along with ongoing support in the role. There are good progression opportunities within the clinical hub and the wider Trust for ambitious employees. These roles commence on the 6th of April 2020 and need full commitment to the role for the first 8 weeks due to the intensive training programme involved with this Job Role.
