Overview
Astute Recruitment are partnering with a prestige law firm in Derby to grow their current team Joining as a Legal Cashier, you will be responsible for supporting the finance team in the provision of Financial Services by providing competent and efficient assistance with cashier / bookkeeping duties. Responsibilities: Month end reporting including dealing with VAT returns / reports Bookkeeping Posting payments into the relevant bank accounts Client banking and cheque posting and processing Processing electronic payments Issuing bills and posting to client ledgers Issuing cheques Dealing with and resolving queries General administration and ad hoc tasks to support the team Requirements: Experience of working in a legal accounts team is essential Knowledge of SAR (Solicitors Accounts Rules) Confident with electronic payments, banking and cheque production This job is commutable from Derby, Alfreton, Nottingham, and Burton In return they offer free parking, fantastic offices, a very stable and friendly team and a salary of £20,000 - £25,000.
