Purchase Ledger Assistant Job Location: Blandford, Dorset Job Type: Part time, Permanent Salary: Excellent starting salary free onsite parking Hours: 27.5 hours per week, over 5 days, flexible start times - 8am, 8:30am, 9am or 9:30am. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Purchase Ledger Assistant to work within a leading manufacturer & distributor of Industrial safety equipment. This is a busy and varied position which will include accurately processing invoices; supporting the buyer with credit checking suppliers; raising purchase orders; petty cash reconciliations; and dealing with exchange rates and foreign currency. Our ideal candidate will possess previous Purchase Ledger experience along with excellent attention to detail as you will play an important part in the smooth running of accounts. The role will see you; Processing invoices (between 50- 100 per week), reconciling delivery notes to invoices received and purchase orders Setting up new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details within the purchase ledger Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements Undertaking supplier credit checks Organising shipping rates and ensuring they are correct Assisting in the preparation of purchase summaries Dealing with exchange rates and foreign currency Reconciling petty cash We are seeking the successful applicant to have the following experience; Possess previous experience of working within a Purchase Ledger function Great interpersonal and communications skills Strong attention to detail The ability to work to monthly deadlines An aptitude for IT - knowledge of software packages like Excel, Sage and BACS In return, the company offer: Excellent starting salary 20 days holiday which rises up to a maximum of 25 days with service bank holidays Group personal pension Private medical & dental insurance Life insurance Free onsite parking An excellent working environment Hours: This is a part time position (27.5 hours, over 5 days) which offers flexible start times from 8am, 8:30am, 9am or 9:30am.
