VAT Accountant

Adecco have a fantastic opportunity to join a company based in Basingstoke. Our client is looking for a VAT Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. The role is working Monday - Friday and is offering a salary of £40,000 - £60,000, dependant on experience. Duties and responsibilities include: Review reports prepared for intrastat and prepare return Ensure correct use of tariff codes Ensure country specific procedures are followed Preparation of intrastat summary book Investigation of errors and discrepancies Review of VAT returns and sales lists Reconciliation of GL sales to reported VAT sales Code import VAT and duty invoices Ensure process notes are updated Monthly GL reconciliations and monthly GL journals Perform other related duties as required Candidates will ideally have/be: Experience of VAT, Intrastat and EC Sales processes and reconciliations with a European remit is essential Accounting degree or professional qualification is advantageous Experience with Oracle is advantageous Excellent Excel skills Good attention to detail Energetic, highly motivated individual Quick learner and logical thinker Excellent communication skills Do you have experience in a similar role and all the relevant skills?
