A contract opening for a Data Analyst within a large Public Sector organisation based in Leeds, West Yorks. Data Analyst / Information Analyst Location: Leeds Duration: 6 months PAYE Rate: £15.55 - £22.03 per hour Umbrella Rate: £20.13 - £24.67 per hour IR35: In scope Hours: 7.5 per day This post will assist in the development of technical specifications, utilising clinical coding terminologies and logic, to enable the extraction of data from primary care (GP) systems. You will produce, test, certify and check data extractions, primarily for payment purposes. You will be required to work as part of a team and will be actively involved in prioritisation, definition and interpretation of customers' requirements, expert analysis, user support, and system design and development opportunities. Sought: Strong Microsoft Office skills - must be able to use complex functions in Excel. Ability to write queries in MS SQL Server. VBA knowledge sought Strong analytical and requirement gathering skills. Learning a unique skill set encompassing primary care coding structures, SQL and Microsoft Excel VBA. Understanding customer requirements and creating high standard data specifications to standard, quality and time parameters. Developing new and existing specifications will provide you with exciting opportunities to be innovative and help improve processes. Working collaboratively with an interesting and diverse range of internal teams and external stakeholders. Triaging and answering high profile email requests. Beneficial: Experience of healthcare terminology/classification codes/primary care useful. Knowledge of NHS data and policies an advantage. Familiarity with agile working advantageous but not essential. Working as a member of a supportive and varied team that will provide on the job training required for these posts.
