Overview
Devops Technical Engineer: Linux, scripting, Hadoop, automation, Azure Contract opportunity for a Devops Technical engineer with strong experience with Linux, scripting & Hadoop configuration & administration. In this role you will be instrumental in automating some aspects of an Enterprise Data Catalogue e.g. backups, installs, recoveryetc. 3 month initial contract period with potential to extend. Essential Requirements: Excellent Linux skills with proven experience in shell scripting (to cover various automated tasks such as installation, backup, recovery etc.) Experience with Hadoop (configuration, integration etc.) Experience of developing using the Azure analytics components (for aspects including HDInsight, VNETs, Data Lake Store, Power BI and Microsoft Visual Studio, Data Factory, Data Factory, SQL DB/DW and SSIS) Fully conversant with Agile and DevOps development methodology and concepts as applied to data driven analytics projects. Including CI/CD Coding, security testing best practice and standards Data Management experience e.g. data profiling, large volume data handling Experience in automated data driven testing PaaS, IaaS, VM, Windows Administration, Azure networking AAP3 is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
