Overview
Care Assistant (Nights) based at Mayfields, Ellesmere Port Available Hours: Permanent - Full Time - 33 hours per week (Nights). Shift Pattern: 8pm - 8am, 3 shifts per week. 2 week rolling rota. Mayfields is a specialist Dementia Care Home in easy commutable distance from Chester and Wirral. Are you a compassionate individual who would like to make a difference to the lives of older people? The role requires individuals who: are flexible in their approach and sensitive to the needs of residents enjoy the company of older people have a willingness to learn and develop work well as part of a team have the ability to form positive relationships with residents, their families and professional colleagues You will be responsible for supporting older people to live their daily lives to the full, assisting with their physical and personal needs to enhance each individual's well-being. Mayfields, along with Claybourne , was the first home specialising in dementia care purpose-built to MHA's design. From the outset, the home specialised in person-centred care which was developed in partnership with the late Professor Tom Kitwood of Bradford University. Supporting residents by enabling their preferred way of life to be continued, individual needs are responded to and supported. This involves staff really getting to know each person, understanding their life and history, interests and skills and, as a result, their behaviour and needs.
