Overview

We are looking for maternity cover for one of our current employees who works in our West Malling Office as a QA Document & Data Administrator. The role is 5 hours per day 5 days a week and will commence on 14th April with a period of work shadowing and training. As a small family business you’ll find that you are a part of a small friendly team not a corporate machine, and everyone mucks in - you’ll even find the MD getting his boots muddy or making the tea. We pay the real living wage of £9.30 per hour plus 28 days holiday per year (pro rata), plus 3 charity days, plus ability to earn an extra days holiday per month via flexitime, and employee perks (PERKBOX) Main purpose of job: To support admin team leader and technical staff in providing a high quality professional service to clients Act as company Data Controller under GDPR Maintain and monitor QA system, and provide feedback to team Assist with General Administration duties when required Main Duties: Typing, checking and issuing documentation. Data entry Managing and creating correspondence, spreadsheets and databases. The maintenance of manual and computer-based records. Maintaining Quality assurance system records including project reviews & archiving and provide feedback to team. Organising and storing paperwork, documents and computer-based information to comply with GDPR Record and investigate non-conformances, complaints and data breaches. Produce reports on the Barnbrook IT System , report data to meet KPI deadlines, Building Control Performance Indicators & Housing returns. Other duties to help the administration team as required The ideal candidate Must be Able to work in a systematic manner and have an eye for procedural, data or grammatical errors Good team worker, able to work with wide range of people. Capable of using own initiative. Must be capable of working unsupervised including periods of lone working for part of day Requires a knowledge of computer-based applications Be flexible and adaptable to differing tasks. Pleasant manner, calm, unflappable approach to work. Methodical, neat, fast and accurate worker. Keen and self-motivated. Desirable Ideally will have a knowledge/interest in the terms used in building industry and understand building plans Previous experience of working in Building control or the construction industry Knowledge of GDPR Knowledge of ISO 9001 we are flexible on the times that the 5 hours a day are to be worked, although we will require Monday Mornings to be covered.
