IWOCS Service Technician Our client (headquartered in Aberdeen), specialise in exploration & production, drilling, and infrastructure technical solutions and services to the global energy industry. For their Aberdeen base they have an immediate requirement for an IWOCS Service Technician. Role profile The IWOCS Technician will: Ensure that there is always continuous IWOCS support, mobilisations in the workshop and execute offshore operations as and when required. Provide day-to-day service, repairs and testing of IWOCS systems, and be involved in any new build projects. Assist with the required planned maintenance & repairs, of company & client owned IWOCS, hydraulic & pneumatic systems. Key Accountabilities (includes, but not limited to the following) Carry out inspection/repairs and pressure testing of IWOCS systems in line with customer and company technical and safety requirements. Have a good knowledge, and understanding, of the maintenance and operation of IWOCS equipment both company & client owned. Have the ability to read and interpret engineering GA & schematic drawings and use them to diagnose/repair any faults in both workshop and operational environments. In conjunction with base support engineers, identify equipment required to achieve site/offshore work scopes. Co-ordinate/assist with preparation of equipment prior to mobilisation. Ensure that service test equipment is maintained and serviceable for use. Experienced in the offshore running and operation of work over control systems, hydraulic power units, and umbilical reelers in accordance with client requirements. Experienced in fluid system flushing and sample analysis using patch kit and EPC to NAS, ISO & SAE cleanliness standards. Represent company and interface with clients to provide support for both company products and third party equipment supplied as part of company scope. Work in conjunction with departmental managers and company infrastructure to deliver high levels of client support and client satisfaction. Education Good standard grade/GCSE passes in Maths, English and ideally a Technical subject. Served a recognised apprenticeship, in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Maintenance with SVQ/NVQ Level 2, 3 or 4 qualifications. Current offshore survival & medical certificates are essential. Experience Understanding of hydraulic/pneumatic control systems and the control components within the systems. Strong focus on client satisfaction. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office programs including Word and Excel.
