Overview

Job Description 0.4 (2 days per week Monday & Tuesday) Various shifts between 8am - 6pm South Lanarkshire Council Council are currently going through an exciting period of expansion of our Early Years Provision to meet the new children’s entitlement of 1140 hours of Early Learning and Childcare. We are now looking for highly motivated and innovative Depute Head of Establishments to help lead our expansion within our Early Years settings, supporting staff, children and families. You will require to be registered with SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council). The Depute Head of Establishment is accountable to theHead of Establishment and would undertake appropriate duties in line with the policies of South Lanarkshire Council Council. Our nurseries are open from 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m, 52 weeks, and you would be required to carry out shift patterns within these hours. Requirements Employment History/Foreign Police Check Candidates should be able to detail any gaps in employment and provide a foreign police check where applicable for any periods living or working abroad. This post is excepted in terms of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 2003. This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007. Therefore, it is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with children or protected adults.
