Your new role Do you want to join a technology-agnostic SecOps team that supports the ongoing functionality of a growing SOC? As the Cyber Security Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring that the posture of the SOC is optimised and its analysts have the tools and technical support to operate efficiently and consistently. You will be responsible for the technical management of SIEM systems, databases, Log/Event systems and the overall maintenance of the SOC security posture. What you'll need to succeed Ideally, you'll have some experience working in network security or security engineering roles with some exposure to a mature SOC, however, professionals with experience in a security analyst focused role, with hands-on technical skills and knowledge, will also be considered. You'll need knowledge of firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, antivirus, threat detection, endpoint security, and SIEM tools such as Splunk or ArcSight You'll have a working knowledge of a variety of security technologies, operating systems, databases and scripting tools such as Nessus, NMAP, Windows, Linux, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch. Scripting languages such as Python or Shell, are highly desirable The ability to attain security clearance is essential.
