Cyber Security Apprentice Location: UK Wide Hours: Full time (37.5 hours, Mon-Fri) Salary: Starting Salary – £15,950 per annum Energus is a training and conference facility based in West Cumbria. We facilitate Graduate and Apprenticeship Programmes nationally on behalf of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) and the wider nuclear industry. Energus have over 10 years’ experience managing Graduate and Apprenticeship Programmes across the UK. We address skills shortages across the nuclear industry and ensure a continuous pipeline of talent into the industry. Following on from our previous success, we are looking to recruit our forth cohort of Cyber Security apprentices to start with us in October 2020. Roles will be based at the following locations: Cumbria Bristol Oxford Cyber Security skilled professionals are highly sought after. During the programme you will develop your talent in the rapidly-growing sector. You will secure an exciting, challenging and stimulating role in the nuclear industry through: Up to four placements across the sector, supply chain or Government bodies Technical and behavioural training structured against the needs of you and the industry and Excellent on-the-job experience. All whilst building a foundation of knowledge, skills and experience in critical areas of Cyber Security. Benefits: Benefits include a starting salary of £15,950 per annum, contributory pension scheme, an employee assistance programme, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, as well as a bespoke training and travel allowance. Eligibility and Entry Requirements: Our apprentice programme is open to all who are eligible to work in the UK. The successful candidates will need to achieve UK SC Security Clearance to undertake the role. Entry requirements for this Cyber Security Level 4 Apprenticeship include at least five GCSEs grades A – C (9 – 4 on the new grading system), and Level 3 qualifications, including A-levels, NVQ/SVQ Level 3 or a BTEC National – ideally in IT, Cyber Security, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) or other relevant subject. Candidates should have: Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and accuracy; An active interest in Cyber Security and a good understanding of the Cyber Threat Landscape; A good understanding of wider internet protocols; and An enthusiasm for the subject along with an inquisitive nature Closing dates vary depending upon region (we are unable to consider any applications received after these dates): Cumbria – Friday 24 April 2020, Bristol and Oxford – Friday 1 May 2020 We anticipate that the selection process will take place in mid-June 2020 with a view to apprentices starting in October (dependant on achieving the required security clearance level).
