The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (NNUH) are looking for an experienced Non-Executive Director to join our Board. NNUH is a large and vibrant teaching hospital providing a full range of acute clinical services across the county of Norfolk and surrounding areas. With its main site on the edge of the cathedral city of Norwich, a district hospital in Cromer, and other smaller community-based sites, NNUH operates at significant scale, serving a population of over one million across the region. With a clear focus on safety, quality and excellence in patient care, NNUH is near four years into a five-year strategy and has made substantial progress. Building on its vision to provide every patient with the care we want for those we love the most NNUH has set out on a journey to be rated outstanding, supported by strong clinical leadership and an open, collaborative culture of learning and improvement. We are looking for an outstanding, experienced individual to join as a Non-Executive Director. The successful candidate will become a member of the Board of Directors and will be collectively responsible for developing, monitoring and delivering the performance of the Trust, ensuring that excellence remains at its core. The ideal candidate will have substantial board level experience as a Director and a track record of executive leadership gained in a financial and/or commercial organisation. They will have a background of transformational, strategic change in a customer facing business environment with previous experience as a non-executive director too, ideally within the NHS. The successful candidate will be dedicated to serving and improving the health of the community across Norfolk and passionate about excellence in patient care, with a keen enthusiasm and interest in the work of NNUH and its wider partners. Working with fellow board directors, the Council of Governors and other stakeholders, these individuals will have the confidence, credibility and sensitivity to engage with a wide range of audiences both within and outside the Trust. In return for your time commitment of up to 4 days per month you will receive remuneration of £12,943 per annum.
