Web Developer - £30,000-£40,000 Established in 2006 PerfectHome is a household goods retailer that offers top quality products to customers through flexible weekly, fortnightly or monthly payment options. We're looking for a Frontend Developer to join our expanding IT Department. Based at our office in Colton, just outside of Leeds, you'll be a key factor in ensuring the main customer facing products are built using best practice coding and technical development standards. This includes writing code for responsive web (mobile, tablet, desktop) as well as on mobile specific platforms. You'll need strong JavaScript development background and be used to delivering high-quality software to tight deadlines. You will be delivering bespoke solutions for both internal and external facing platforms for our growing online business. You'll work closely with the Head of IT and the Digital Marketing Teams in delivering the IT and website strategy and plan. You'll also be involved in the full development lifecycle from process & scope, elaboration, to development & testing. We expect you'll be constantly striving to deliver the best possible experience for our customers, making it possible for them to create their perfect home. Accountability Delivery Provide accurate timing estimates on work in progress Working closely with others Reporting progress updates to stakeholders On-time delivery Accuracy to specification Proven Functionality Futureproof design & implementation Activities (tasks to achieve accountabilities) Work within agile team to deliver new features or maintain existing applications Create new and innovative features and services that are robust Create new and innovative user experiences Create well written, well documented and testable code using modern frameworks Create well written frontend JS applications using modern frameworks Essential skills, knowledge and experience Experience of setting Development Standards and performing Code Reviews Experience of designing large scale web solutions, microservices and service-oriented architectures Strong communication skills design flare and experience of user experience Keen to continuously learn and share knowledge with others Experience of working in a fast-paced, agile delivery environment with regular releases to a live environment. Rigorous attention to detail.
