Overview
Sewell Wallis are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a growing business based in Leeds City Centre. The role will initially be very transactional focused but over time will move to an Assistant Accountant position in which the successful candidate will assist with aspects of management accounts. It is a growing team and would suit someone with over a years' experience within accounts that is now looking to take on added responsibility. As the Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for the following: Processing purchase ledger invoices. Processing sales ledger invoices. Petty cash management. Credit card processing and postings. Expenses management and processing. Preparing payment runs. Bank admin management. Making recommendations to systems and processes in order to improve these. Completing daily settlement and reconciliation activities. Other ad hoc tasks as and when required. The ideal candidate will: Have previous transactional accounts experience. Be looking to eventually progress to an Assistant Accountant role. Be studying/have plans to study for their AAT qualifications. Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
