2nd Line IT Support Engineer

Barron McCann Ltd is an independent IT Service Provider offering a range of IT support services from help desk through to rapid response on-site repair and maintenance; our customers are some of the most prestigious names on the high street. The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced 2 nd Line IT Support Engineer to join our IT team and be an integral part of a well-established and respected IT Services Company that has major clients based in both the UK and Continental Europe. We are looking for someone who is bright, enthusiastic and capable of Supporting all IT services within a fast-paced environment to approx. 300 personnel. You will have a strong sense of ownership and take personal pride in providing an excellent service from yourself. A great communicator you will build collaborative relationships across the company and the IT Team. The Role This role will be to provide 2 nd line support, escalations from the Service Desk and deliver projects onsite and remotely The role will be targeted at candidates with experience gained in a similar environment with strong 2 nd line or project experience while supporting and maintaining Microsoft Server, Exchange/Office 365 and cloud and CRM environments, Firewalls and Cyber Security software Delivery will be through the help of an internal team of approx. 4 members as well as liaising with key service providers that supply core parts of our infrastructure. Key responsibilities: · To promote security awareness to ensure we are compliant both now and in future solutions · Provide support for all 2 nd line support call · Establishing and monitoring IT SLA and KPI · Delivery of key IT projects · Providing input Monitoring, maintaining and improving the IT infrastructure · Incident and problem management · Audit and Change control · Helping to develop key business products to match the business needs Skills and Experience The ideal candidate will come from a hands-on technical background and will possess demonstrable technical experience with the following: · Windows 10, Server 2012 R2 to 2019 · Office 365, Teams · SQL Server 2012 R2 · Microsoft SharePoint online · Microsoft Networks and domains · Wireless (Cisco Meraki) · Hyper V · Telephony systems IP 3CX · Hardware, Printers and Mobile devices (MDM, Jamf) · Installation, configuration and testing of networks and PCs · Azure, PowerShell ’, VB Scripting, · Microsoft Dynamics, ERP, CRM Systems · VPN’s Knowledge of Service Industry Software Packages, Service Power Optimiser and Click Field Service Software, QlikView would be advantageous.
