Overview

Job Description Working for the Council’s Home Care Service, you will provide direct personal care to older people in their own homes. It is desirable you have experience of care work and preference will be given to candidates possessing an SVQ2 qualification in Social Care. The ability to respond to situations in a calm and flexible way is essential. Proven experience of caring for people with a range of complex needs; and experience of working without direct supervision in a situation requiring self-reliance is desirable, as is access to a vehicle for work purposes. The hourly rate for this post is £11.98 per hour. Mileage is paid at 45p per mile. Responsibilities This post is considered Regulated Work with Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007.
