PR and Public Affairs Lead £31,800 -£35,466 per annum Permanent Dunfermline Campus 35 hours per week Fife College is looking to appoint a talented, fresh-thinking and enthusiastic public relations professional to join its Marketing and PR team as PR and Public Affairs Lead. The role As PR and Public Affairs Lead you will work proactively across the organisation to develop, implement and evaluate the College’s PR and public affairs strategy and plans, ensuring their alignment to the College’s strategy and objectives. You’ll have: A qualification at SCQF Level 9 or equivalent in a Communications related subject Experience of working in PR including developing and implementing PR strategy and plans; liaising with the media; handling sensitive enquiries, including crisis communications; and identifying and generating newsworthy content for external influence Experience of building strong relationships with the media (local, national, print, online and broadcast) Experience of developing proactive PR plans designed to enhance the profile of the College and built our reputation amongst key influencer audiences Experience of political landscape, developing relationships with key political influencers, identifying opportunities to showcase the value the College creates It’d be great if you also have: Experience of working within an FE or HE environment Experience of working in a public sector organisation Experience of staging and promoting corporate events Method of applying is by fully completed application form.
