The Opportunity An opportunity has arisen for an innovative software developer with drive and enthusiasm to join Europe’s number one missile system provider working in the international Customer Support and Services organisation. What are we looking for? You will have a high level of competence in MS Excel, including Visual Basic. High level of competence in database development in MS Access and / or asp.net and SQL You will either be experienced with SAP or have the ability to assimilate the knowledge required through training Effectively communicate with both IM experts and Customer Support staff in the use of their specific IT tools & applications. Analyse and communicate processes and practices in a clear and concise manner You will have some experience in the training staff in the use of IT software and tools, but additional training can be provided. Set your own priorities in order to meet objectives. Influence, interact and support other areas and functions of MBDA. Capability to manage work packages and rapid development activities. Good communication skills and be aware of cultural differences. You will have a willing, helpful attitude and a calm professional manner, able to set priorities and deal with multiple issues. Develop new software application using agile development techniques You will be working and sharing experience with other IT specialists who have a wide ranging skills and knowledge. Working with a multi-national team and have opportunities for international travel and development language skills. You will be provided with specialist training when required to meet the business requirement. The Role You will be developing new or improving existing software applications that are used to manage customer support activities Helping the Customer Support management team to improve data analysis techniques Working with IT specialist in France and Italy to share best practice and development applications that have an international context. You will help develop IT skills within the wider Customer Support team and research potential new applications that would be of assistance to their work. Liaise with the MBDA wide Information Management team to ensure that the specific needs and constraints of Customer Support are understood and delivered. What’s great about the team?
