Multi Skilled Engineer Location: HMP Guy's Marsh, Shaftesbury, Dorset, SP7 0AH Salary: £36K per annum Contract: Full time, Permanent Gov Facility Services Ltd (GFSL) are seeking a range of experienced Multi Skilled Engineers who are dedicated to delivering a high quality of work. Having formed in February 2018, GFSL is a Ministry of Justice fully owned, not-for-profit company specialising in facilities management services within c50 prisons over the South of the UK. Most of the works we undertake are within controlled areas and support the safe operation of the establishments. With a staff count of around 1,400 we strive to be the FM employer of choice. Your priority will be to deliver an excellent level of service to the establishment, rather than be pressured to provide a quick fix and maximize profits. We are looking for an exceptional Multi Skilled Engineer who is qualified to at least one of the below: C&G 6187 - Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, and NVQ level 3 Diploma in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or equivalent plus C&G 2079 - Refrigerant Handling. C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent A certificate in BS7671 - The Requirements For Electrical Installations, 17th or 18th Edition. C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and Heating) and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent CCN1 - Core domestic gas safety and relevant domestic appliance units Electrician qualified to C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent As a successful candidate you'll be able to demonstrate that you have a minimum of 2 years' experience of working in a multi-skilled role, working on commercial or industrial systems. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to prioritise and manage your own workload. Experience of working on commercial or industrial heating and water systems is desirable. Your day to day duties will (depending on your specialism) include; Taking accountability for general reactive maintenance within the prison estate in line with the sites long term goals and objectives To positively contribute to the building and development of a culture of excellent customer service, establishing and maintaining an excellent working relationship with the client To fault find and ensure satisfactory fault rectification, maintaining site services levels at all times The maintenance, installation and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration systems within the prison estate in line with the sites maintenance requirements The maintenance, installation and repair of electrical systems within the prison estate in line with the sites maintenance requirements To take accountability for reactive maintenance within the prison estate in line with the sites long term goals and objectives To comply with all Health and Safety policies, procedures and legislation to ensure statutory and mandatory compliance Experience within a secure environment, military, health or similar sector would be an advantage. Applicants must have completed a recognised apprenticeship in a facilities or building services trade, or have two years of recognised experience and specialist skills in a similar role in the facilities sector. Alongside this experience the successful individual should have a knowledge of risk and compliance and demonstrable PPM and reactive maintenance experience.
