Telecoms Design Engineer Coventry Permanent Salary Negotiable, dependent on experience The Client Our well-established client is a leading global integrator of communications and security solutions for businesses, industries and governments. They offer a wide range of installation, maintenance and commissioning solutions which are suitable for both Hazardous and Non-Hazardous environments. The Role We are looking for Design Engineers to join our client’s team based in Coventry. They are looking for someone with Industrial experience in design of either telecommunication systems (SDH, PDH, Radio Communications, Cisco, Scada, Control, Instrumentation, PAVA, PAGA, PA etc) or security systems (CCTV, Access Control, Electrified Fencing, Intrusion Detecting, Facial Recognition etc). You’ll provide the client and project manager with a single point of contact and take responsibility for any aspect associated with the individual sub-systems under your control. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the delivery of documentation and materials on time, and to budget as allocated by the project manager. Additional duties will include Pre-FAT and FAT completion, on-site commissioning activities and sub-system configuration & set-up. Experience and Qualifications Required With at least 2 years technical design experience on infrastructure projects (National Grid, Rail, Oil & Gas or Utilities Industries etc) you’ll have detailed design and configuration knowledge of working with these types of clients. Proven training certification in relevant sub-systems and a degree or HND in a relevant discipline is required, as is the ability to author technical documents and drawings.
