Trade Compliance Process Manager

Our client is looking for a Trade Compliance Process Manager to develop, enhance and implement trade compliance programmes and policies and develop and manage effective relationships with Government agencies involved in trade compliance. Purpose of the Job To enhance and implement internal trade compliance programme To support the Head of Department trade compliance processes globally. To create a knowledge centre for the day to day trade compliance policy and compliance issues. To develop and deploy trade compliance regulatory compliance policy and to ensure procedures are in place. To ensure the smooth running of import/export classification team To develop the processes, procedures and systems to ensure/support ongoing compliance and effective information flow. To develop and manage effective relationships with Government agencies involved in Trade compliance (e.g. BIS, FCO, Security Agencies, Regional Customs authorities, Other governmental agencies in all regions) Knowledge, Skills, Experienced Required Bachelors degree in International Trade/Logistics/Supply Chain beneficial, but not essential Ten years of International Trade compliance experience preferably gained within a blue chip organisation, International Trade consultancy or within Foreign Trade regulatory authority. Sound knowledge of the EU export controls, US EAR, AP Export Controls, global Customs Regulations and best practices in International Trade. Experience in development and deployment of compliance policy, processes and procedures. Knowledge of how International Trade compliance fits with modern global operations and supply chain management. Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
