Ocean has been engaged to recruit an exciting permanent opportunity to join a leading London-based Asset Management company. This is a fantastic opportunity to work as a Front Office Java Developer in a company which heavily invests in its permanent employees. The position is within the Exchange Traded Funds (ETF) Systems Development team who are responsible for technology utilized externally by Authorized Participants & Market Makers and internally by Global Markets & Portfolio Managers.This technology helps the clients manage ETF primary trading orders, negotiate custom orders, and project & distribute ETF basket holdings.This department is beginning a multi-year project to rearchitect and redesign the systems to fuel dramatic growth in assets under management and ETF order volumes.This department works closely with our business partners to ensure that we are delivering maximum value to the firm. Essential Experience: · Extensive experience in server-side enterprise software design and implementation in Java ·Good Asset Management or Investment Banking experience · Strong Experience designing and implementing API solutions. · Bachelor’s Degree educated in computing / engineering or equivalent industry experience · Extensive experience with multi-tier transactional architecture and design with a focus on componentized services. · Strong foundation in Data Structures, Algorithms, OO Design and patterns. · Strong Experience using Agile development methodologies · A real passion for software quality and automation. · Strong ambition to learn and utilize emerging technologies while working in a stimulating team environment.
