The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, capable of developing new ideas from Concept through to production. The Job Role; · Designing products from concept through to production release to agiven specification, agreed timescales and to the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) · Work within a multi-disciplined development team environment and use your own initiative to achieve the projectrequirements · Electrical schematic layout design · Generate detailed technical documentation (BOMs, manuals, IQ/OQ/PQ,etc.) · Generate comprehensive component specifications and designs · Reduce product costs by re-designing existingproducts · Assist production/service engineers whenrequested · Collaborate fully with production engineering on new productlaunch. · Design testingcriteria · Produce ECN’s for design updates orchanges Educated to Minimum HNC qualification in an Electrical Engineering discipline, and a long with a strong electrical design background, ideally you will have the following skills and experience; · Working knowledge of AutoCAD LT and/or Draftsight · Software experience of C or Ladder would be a distinct advantage · Working to codes & standards like EN61010, Electrical Safety Standards, EMC Directive, ISO 9001 · Ability to fault find on electrical systems · Understanding & knowledge of PLC systems · Excellent communication and problem-solving skills · Working industry knowledge of Solidworks Electrical 2D or comparable · Electronic design of printed circuit boards down to component level & microprocessors based control systems Next Steps; If you’re near Oldham and have experience as an Electrical Design Engineer please send your CV to Chris Chambury at TRF Technical, a specialist division of the Recruitment Fix.
