As their Junior BI Developer, you will be exploring data to create and discover new and efficient ways to implement database models and systems. As market leaders in the provision of various software solutions in their core market, you will be pivotal in designing, building and maintaining of our database systems, including data warehouses; and in upholding the quality standard required by them and its clients. About the role: Adhering to technical standards and delivery within budget and on time Escalating technical and work package scope issues Meeting internal reporting requirements Extracting and analysing data and through different perspectives, models, trends, statistics and complex data; identifying problems and opportunities Working with the management team to design and develop database applications which solve business challenges Assisting in the migration of data from old to new database applications and any associated tasks Identifying risks and challenges, providing solutions to the management team and solving problems and identify issues and risks in addition to troubleshooting, issue resolution and technical advice Identifying and communicating insight findings to develop data management strategy, process and projects Documenting, implementing, monitoring, and enforcing all database processes Ensuring content and structure of all documents, artifacts and processes is documented and maintained Managing and maintaining deployment, configuration and setup methodologies Working with internal and external clients to make sure deployed applications are efficient and effective Working with Business Analysts to identify user requirements and specifications Requirements: University education or equivalent industry experience Hands-on experience using MSSQL and SSIS, designing and creating ETLs Extensive experience in a similar role and industry Demonstrable experience delivering quality on products in a medium to large-sized business and in statistical analysis Experience with operating systems and database technology Experience using Azure (desirable) About you: High attention to detail and a critical thinker Well developed organisational and planning skills Flexible and pragmatic in approach Excellent literacy, analytical and problem-solving skills An influencer - demonstrates personal 'presence' and gains the confidence of others through temperament, capability and calibre Ability to work autonomously, taking ownership for personal and team delivery and outcomes Continuously developing and applying professional technical knowledge to drive excellent organisational performance Deadline-driven with excellent time management skills Good fun and have a sense of perspective Benefits: Flexible working - core hours 10:00 - 16:00 Single private healthcare (you can add members of your family at an additional cost) Confidential Employee Assistance Programme 3% employer pension contributions 3 x annual salary life assurance Subsidised gym membership 24 days holiday, plus 1 day's annual leave gifted over the Christmas period Annual salary and discretionary performance-related bonus reviews Recruitment referral scheme Reward and recognition scheme Working from Home policy Pension contributions Discretionary enhanced company sick pay Great internal culture - work hard and play hard Supportive and driven team And more Sounds interesting?
