Overview

to oversee and coordinate the day to day tasks of the logistics process ensuring accurate maintenance of shipment advices and stock positions at all times through the ongoing monitoring of consignments. Key accountabilities: Check the status of incoming deliveries and inform related parties accordingly Manage the transportation of products to the UK ports in accordance with agreed time scales Responsible for organising deliveries of produce from port to store efficiently and on time Remain informed of all aspects relating to the distribution process Ensure that all ad hoc issues are managed effectively to help guarantee the arrival and delivery of orders Support Sales Admin team members with checking orders are correct prior to products being sent to customers, as and when required Responsible for coordination of account sales Ensure account sales are correct and in line with required time scales Verify invoices from fruit suppliers and depots for ranges of charges including fruit receives, storage and transport Accurately check and verify detail of invoices and charges, cross referencing to delivery schedule and consignment details Report and resolve any queries or discrepancies on invoices as necessary Manage consignment set up and amendment process Manage the creation of consignments correctly on to systems Ensure consignment details remain accurate at all times to include qualities / arrival dates etc Identify and resolve issues identified in the consignment set-up process Management of PEACH applications Ensure the relevant documentation is submitted accurately and in agreed time scales Communicate to relevant parties on the progress of application as required Communication with 3rd party transporters Ensure ongoing communication with transport providers Ensure all related parties receive a current position of distribution information as necessary Deal with and resolve all product distribution queries as and when they arise Company Initiatives and Compliance Take responsibility for the Health and Safety of yourself and others whilst at work Support company initiatives and demonstrate company values To comply with all legal and statutory obligations applicable to the role Participate in training and personal development activities as required Carry out any other reasonable tasks as required by the company Qualifications / Knowledge and Experience Special skills Must have excellent attention to detail Flexible and resilient Methodical Calm demeanour essential Excellent telephone communication skills Proven time management skills: Accustomed to working with and meeting time critical deadlines Ability to multi task Be able to work under pressure effectively Proficient in MS Office in particular Excel and Outlook Knowledge of Navision or similar system This is a permanent, full time position, working Monday - Friday 8am - 4.30pm flexible for the right candidate. This position is still live but on hold until we are out the other side of the Coronavirus.
