Consultant Clinical Psychologist - Neuro-Rehabilitation

I am currently working on behalf of an excellent Healthcare organisation that is seeking to appoint a Part Time Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist (21 hours per week) who can contribute to the development and delivery of the specialist psychology service, providing neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation programmes for patients with acquired brain injury and neuropsychological disorders. The service provides both long-term and short-term person-centred rehabilitation, care and support for male and female adults (aged 18 years) with a brain injury or other complex neurological conditions. The main responsibilities include: Providing comprehensive neuropsychological assessment of patients Designing and implementing individual behaviour modification and neuro-rehabilitation programmes Maintain records and clinical notes in line with company policy and British Psychological Society (BPS) guideline Providing evidence based neuropsychological treatments e.g. cognitive and behavioural Ensuring through Clinical Governance that all quality management systems are in place Ensuring that regular and timely Performance & Development Reviews (PDR) and identified training needs are met The key skills and experience required include: Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, accredited by the BPS Experience of working as a qualified Clinical Psychologist, normally within services for people with Mental Health Disorders Developed knowledge of the Lifespan developmental psychology, models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology Knowledge of legislation and its implication for both clinical practice and professional management in relation to the client group and mental health Strong interpersonal qualities of teamwork and communication are essential as is evidence of a commitment to training and professional development.
