Overview

The Fairlie Healthcare Group is looking to hire a Domestic Cleaner on a Permanent Contract. Salary - £8.30 per hour Monday – Friday & £8.80 per hour during the weekend (rising to £8.75 per hour during the week and £9.25 per hour on weekends, as of the 1st April 2020) Location – Woodstown House, Banstead, South London Job Type – Permanent Hours – 30 hours per week – 8am – 2pm (Total of 6 hours per shift) – Monday – Sunday (Rotational Shift Basis) Do you have previous experience of working within a Domestic Cleaning environment? We are currently looking for Domestic Cleaner to work at our brand-new Woodstown House home opening soon for 30 hours per week on a permanent contract. The ideal candidate will work for 6 hours per day on a rotational shift basis from 8am –2pm. Additional shifts may also be available from time to time to cover absence What do we do? The Fairlie Healthcare Group is a leading provider of high-quality care which was established in 1999. We specialise in caring for young adults with neurological conditions, as well as patients with tracheostomies and who require ventilator support. We currently have two homes, Fairlie House, located in West Norwood and Highfield House which is located in Purley. Both homes have achieved the highest rating from the Care Quality Commission and we continually strive to maintain our ‘Outstanding’ rating. We have big plans for the future and are currently building a brand-new care home which is located in the outskirts of Banstead which is due to open in Spring 2020. We are currently looking a Domestic Cleaner to join our Wodstown House care home located in Banstead, London. Woodstown House is a brand-new 45 bedroomed home and what sets our home apart is our state-of-the-art amenities and our commitment to facilitate control and independence for our residents. Our residents’ range in age from 20 years plus and have high dependency nursing needs as a result of spinal and/or brain injury. We have an exceptional pride on providing a high quality, friendly and welcoming environment for our residents as this is their home. What will I be doing? The Domestic cleaner will be responsible for a variety of cleaning tasks and these will take place on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. The duties will include cleaning bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms, clinical rooms, sluice rooms & therapy rooms. The other areas which will be required to be cleaned will be the communal resident’s lounge, communal dining room, offices, changing rooms, stairs and corridors. Some of the duties involved will include: Making sure that the cleaning work schedule is adhered to making sure that tasks are always carried out and completed aswell as quality standards being maintained Ensuring that when working with residents you always demonstrate courtesy, consideration and kindness Working effectively within the Housekeeping Team and uphold the home’s core Values Coordinating with management and staff to deal with unexpected cleaning tasks within the home Storing cleaning materials correctly as required by the COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health laws) and to keep all equipment in good working orderCarrying out all safety measures as required and to attend healthy and safety, safeguarding of vulnerable adults, infection prevention and control, mental capacity act, manual handling, gold standards framework, first aid, CPR, COSH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health), food hygiene, core values & values framework, equality, diversity and inclusion, information governance and fire s
