About the role Our IT team is seen as a critical function within Anchor Hanover, we are providing an opportunity to get involved in the transformation of our newly formed organisation. Anchor Hanover is embarking on its Digital Business strategy - our roles allow individuals to get involved in both the technology and cultural change that will need to be achieved to deliver this strategy. Using industry best working practises, Business Systems are influential in business decisions and viewed as an integral part of the business. This role is focused on ensuring that Anchor is able to benefit from the full value of its investment in the Corporate applications through a combination of business as usual service and project delivery that ensures that corporate systems are supporting and enabling the Anchor Hanover business strategy. You will be maintaining and delivering the corporate application "business as usual" services through agreement with senior stakeholders that enable full exploitation of the corporate systems. You will be working in collaboration with Business Systems Analysts to ensure awareness of product roadmaps for each of the Anchor Hanover corporate applications, influencing suppliers to align these roadmaps with Anchor Hanover requirements and the communication of these roadmaps to appropriate Anchor Hanover stakeholders. You will need to evaluate and where appropriate implementation of Corporate application upgrades, ensuring that the organisation is able to exploit the business value associated with these upgrades and that these upgrades ensure continued supplier support for the applications. You will manage and deliver a corporate systems development programme that is aligned to business priorities. You will be managing the forward resourcing plan to ensure that the skills and experience of the team are aligned to the business demand. This will also ensure that project related activities are set up for success and have adequate controls. Team management will also be key, ensuring that team members have the necessary skills to undertake their role. About you You will have comprehensive knowledge of IT governance and quality assurance, resource planning, project documentation and delivery and risk management. You will have experience of delivering large projects (>£0.5mil) and translating business strategy into operational IT plans. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to explain IT issues in non-technical manner. You’ll have strong interpersonal and leadership skills, excellent team management skills and the ability to maintain relationships with key stakeholders. You will have very strong analytical approach with an eye for detail, a flexible hands-on approach and the ability to work autonomously where needed. You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and possess a Prince 2 (or equivalent) qualified.
