Pensions Manager (SIPP Property) Location: Liverpool Salary: up to £30,000 Our Client is one of the largest Independent Corporate and Trust Financial Services Providers in the World. An excellent opportunity is now available for a highly experienced and technical Pensions Manager to join their SIPP Property Team. This is a role with great exposure across the organisation and is suited to someone who enjoys having real working accountability. Responsibilities Administering the purchase, sale and management of a portfolio of commercial properties. Initial due diligence on proposed property investment. Instructing and liaising with Valuers and Solicitors. Reviewing draft legal documentation produced by solicitors acting for the SIPP Trustee, ensuring Trustees’ interest is noted where appropriate. Understanding areas of potential risk (including Environmental Protection Act, Control of Asbestos Regulations and Energy Performance Certificates). Co-ordinating funds ready for completion, including liaison with a commercial lender if Borrowing is required. Maintaining records and information on Sovereign’s database and document systems. Issuing rental invoices / monitoring rental payments / chasing rent arrears. Negotiating Heads of Terms for new leases and relaying instructions to solicitors. Lease expiries and renewals, terminations, and amendments. Being a point of contact for tenants’ enquiries. Organising property valuations in line with legislative/HMRC requirements. Liaising with Head Landlords over ground rents and service charges. Reviewing draft legal documentation produced by solicitors acting for the SIPP Trustee, ensuring Trustees’ interest and liabilities are appropriately and correctly discharged. The successful candidate will need to have previous experience working as a SIPP Property Manager. You should have solid communication and articulation skills as well as the ability to multi-task with a good technical knowledge of financial instruments and processes.
