Associ8solutions are currently representing a food manufacturer in their search to find an experienced QA Technologist with industry experience. The Role The main purpose of this role is to provide an auditing function of factory processes, to ensure compliance with legal and customer requirements for food safety and quality.To ensure full production and process records are maintained for due diligence. Your duties will include: · Carry out routine tasks, which include: o Conducting Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) audits against site standards, engaging with the area lead with the findings to ensure an understanding of areas of failure o Monitor, educate and audit the production process to ensure work and documentation is completed to the agreed standards o Factory welfare post-mortem inspections o Assuring compliance to legal and customer requirements on final product o Collation of finished product and raw materials for testing o Swabbing of plant against the established protocol o Weekly calibration checks o Ensure that all Environmental testing is completed as per the agreed schedule · Work with other departments to collect samples for new product development / new customers, including preparing for dispatch · Ensure that all non-conformances are properly investigated and implement corrective and preventative actions · Represent the Technical Department where and when necessary within the business · Support Technical Management in preparation for / during customer visits and third-party audits · Contribute to continual improvement objectives · Provide extended cover and support to production during peak production periods · Any other reasonable duty as requested by Technical Management The Candidate The ideal candidate will have food manufacturing knowledge and experience, food safety level 2 (as a minimum) and a sound understanding of HACCP.
