Position: EMEA Buyer Commodities & Ingredients Based: Haddenham A vacancy has arisen for a Buyer looking after Commodities and Ingredients within the Procurement team. The position is located in Haddenham and reports to Procurement Manager Commodities. The successful candidate will not only need to demonstrate excellent supplier relationship management and strategic vision, but also the ability to work with, and influence internal stakeholders. Main Responsibilities · Develop and implement category strategies for a portfolio of ingredients and commodities, using category management tools and processes · Develop an annual budget for the categories within portfolio, and demonstrate the fundamentals and technical aspects that support the budget positioning, highlighting risk and identify plans to mitigate · Actively participate in, and support, a range of cross-functional project teams which deliver cost, quality & service optimizations, value improvement and innovation development (NPD) · Work across the business functions to ensure that the McCormick EMEA relationships are working as effectively as possible. · Actively support the engagement and activities driven from a Global level within EMEA region, ensuring strong stakeholder engagement, meeting participation, project updates and effective communication within Global Procurement organization · Ensure robust day-to-day management of business interfaces e.g. SAP, product supply, markets and S&OP processes. Candidate Profile · Graduate with a strong academic background ideally in a Business, Engineering or technical specialism. Evidence of international exposure is desirable. · Minimum of 3 years procurement experience with demonstrable results in managing complex portfolios. · Evidence of a strategic approach, with good communication and negotiation skills, and a desire to expand capabilities and take on more challenges. · Is able to communicate with people from diverse cultures and organizational backgrounds. · Creativity - Is naturally inquisitive and seeks to challenge and improve situations. · Efficient, results and task oriented. · Culture Fit – Is confident and comfortable with change and ambiguity.
