Class 2 HGV Driver

Eurocell Recycle North (formerly Ecoplas) part of the Eurocell PLC group of companies, are a dynamic manufacturer, distributor and recycler of building products. We are now looking for experienced Drivers to join our transport team on a permanent basis. We are looking for a HGV Class 2 professional Driver to collect upvc plastic window frames and lengths from various locations and deliver these to a number of tipping sites across the UK. This role is physically demanding as it involves the manual handling and lifting of u-PVC door and window frames (up to 5metre lengths) Shifts: Monday – Friday 40 hours per week Weekend work and nights out available 3-4 nights away Duties: Collection of old UPVC windows on a national basis · Daily reporting and liaising with transport management office · Ensure all work is carried out in a safe manner and that H&S standards are adhered to · Manage own workload efficiently and ensure all required documentation is completed · Carry out daily and weekly vehicle checks ensuring any defects found are reported · This is a physical role, which involved as much manual handling as driving. · Ensure company reporting procedures are followed · Carry out collections to our internal and external customers in a professional manner Key Skills / Experience: Must hold Class 2 licence · Must hold a Digital Tachograph card and CPC qualification. · You must be a team player and have a polite manner as you will be representing Ecoplas when out on the road · Good geographical knowledge of the UK and Working Time Directive · You will be expected to work out your run in the most efficient way as these are subject to change if other jobs take priority · Highly adaptable, resilient and tenacious with high levels of energy and drive · Be fit and healthy with a certain level of physical strength in order to load and unload · Proven track record of driving vehicles in a safe and legal manner ensuring compliance with all legal requirements. · Great sense of humour and attitude. · Must be willing to get their hands dirty and chip in with ad-hoc tasks as they arise.
