Overview

Inventory Manager We are looking for an inventory manager for a busy manufacturing business in Taunton ideally you will be focused on stock control, rotation of all products. You’ll be educated to degree level in relevant subject or MCIPS (although part qualification will be acceptable). You must have worked across warehouse Inventory planning before we would also expect you to be able to demonstrate the following: Experience of using Inventory and stock control systems Analytical mind-set Exceptional planning and organisation skills Manage a team of warehouse stock controllers Ability to use excel extensively Lastly, strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential attributes for this post, as is the ability to be clear, concise and exact when presenting information and analysis. Support the General manager with all management of the Storage and Warehouse operations as well as the production manager contract consisting of approximately 50 - 75 staff and specialist contractor personnel to meet the demands of the customer Provide planning, management and supervision to deliver safe and effective inventory management across warehouse and production sites Provide technical advice on Inventory Management for the procurement of storage and warehouse operations services Promote the highest standards of Health and safety, quality and efficiency throughout the Site Operations team; Manage the execution of inventory management activities including the oversight of contractor's Storage and warehouse team; Prepare monthly reports for each site including; safety performance, performance against SLAs, performance against KPIs, financial reporting, project forecasting and forward planning Demonstrate significant experience of working within the inventory management field Substantial warehousing experience including receipt and despatch of goods. Experience of working in an intense FMCG environment Proven track record of delivery within a large project environment. Excellent communication skills and experience of positive stakeholder engagement Intellectual capacity to deal with complex issues - and work within supply chain and warehouse operations
