Overview
The Production Technician will be responsible for working within one of our Integrated Product Teams. Clients products include Flight Control Systems, Head-up Display Systems, Head Mounted Display Systems and Mission Computer Systems Key Responsibilities: Create and maintain build instructions for the shop floor, utilising MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) tools Reading and interpreting engineering drawings/diagrams Provide support for shop floor technical queries Lead continuous improvement initiatives within projects and across operations to support the sites strategic objectives Highly organised with strong prioritisation skills Qualifications / Experience required: Qualified to degree or HND level with a proven ability in problem solving and reporting Familiarity with MES and ERP tools is essential to the role Conversant in workshop practices, quality standards and disciplines Some previous Production experience, ideally within an engineering environment, but failing that manufacturing/automotive/production background will suffice Able to read and interpret engineering drawings/diagrams Excellent problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Be enthusiastic and proactive Attention to detail Self-motivated Adaptable and flexible in your approach to work Aptitude for a fast-paced environment and using own initiative
