Job Description Social Care Officer, Beechgrove (PKC06413) £19,952 - £22,468 Beechgrove House, First Floor, Hillend Road, Perth PH1 1DL An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Social Care Officer to join the Community Alarm and Telecare Service. You will positively contribute to the operation of the service providing a call handling and emergency response service to vulnerable service users in the community. You will be able to showcase your experience of working with vulnerable adults in a community setting and carrying out social, emotional and personal care tasks to a high standard. Your skills and abilities in assessing situations and taking appropriate action including responding to individual needs will be paramount. A degree of technical knowledge would be desirable as you will have the responsibility to support the call handling process and for the installation of personalised and beneficial Telecare equipment. To support with the above role we offer a full training and induction. As an individual you will be able to demonstrate your excellent listening, oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to work as part of a team which are essential. You must also have the ability to maintain confidentiality, work co-operatively with other professionals, families and carers and to work on your own initiative. You will need to demonstrate that you can be reliable and have a flexible approach to work together with a positive, responsible and caring attitude which are essential qualities. You must have a full driving licence as driving is part of the role. You will be supported to obtain an SVQ 2 in Social Care which you should be willing to undertake. If you can showcase that you are enthusiastic, motivated and able to cope with demanding work this is an ideal role for you. The shift pattern is variable and includes weekend and night work.
