Overview
Jenson Fisher have been engaged on an exclusive basis by an instantly recognisable Dundee-based commercial business who are looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant into their established finance team. Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, the role of the Assistant Accountant is to assist across the business with financial best practice, extending across daily cash management and invoicing to periodic reconciliations, mentoring the accounts administrator whilst also maximising the use of the financial system. On a day to day basis, the responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant will include; Assisting with the preparation of all monthly financial reporting. Bookkeeping to trial balance stage. Assisting with the preparation of the VAT returns. Bank reconciliations. Petty cash reconciliations. Ensure that invoices are processed throughout the department accurately and on time. Prepare financial information for members of the Senior Management Team as required. Work with non-finance managers on financial related topics, ensuring financial processes are adhered to.
