Cleaning work Your new company As the leading supplier to HM Prison service Hays are requiring a cleaner to work at HMP Huntercombe in Henley-on-Thames. This Nationally recognised and well established company provides facilities and maintenance staff to Prisons across the UK. The company is actively recruiting and is looking for staff on both a temporary basis and for the right candidate a Permanent basis. We cannot guarantee you will be made permanent but depending on performance there is a chance to become permanent. Your new role You will be working on a full time basis of around 37.5 hours a week. This role is a long term temporary role. There will be the possibility to go permanent although this is not guaranteed. The cleaning role will vary from day to day. You could be cleaning the outbuildings on the grounds of the Prison or cleaning within the Prison itself. You will come in to contact with Prisoners as part of the role, although you will be working with a very supportive and welcoming team. Within the role there will be allocated cleaning tasks to complete along side reactive cleaning as well. What you'll need to succeed Previous experience with cleaning is Essential, Previous experience in working within a prison environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be given. What you'll get in return In return you will be paid £9.20 per hour. Support from a dedicated recruitment consultant throughout the whole process. Other information The nature of the role requires candidates to be aware of and conscious of security and be able to challenge potential compromises and risks. You will need to be reliable and consistent, level headed and have great interpersonal skills. What you'll get in return Full training on working within a Prison is provided by the Prison or the department. Security clearance required: All applicants will be subjected to HM Prison Service Security Clearance procedure. This will include a DBS check. You must hold a valid passport or birth certificate & photo driving licence in your current address.
