Overview

My client, a recycling, renewable energy and waste management company are looking to recruit a Project Engineer to join the team. DUTIES: Project engineering, planning and development. Design preparation and review. Costing and feasibility studies preparation. Benchmarking and value engineering Coordinate internal resources and third parties (suppliers & contractors) for the flawless execution of projects. Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility. Develop a detailed project plan to track progress Verification and manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs while keeping records Measure and report on project performance Perform risk management to minimize project risks Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation Maintain project overviews and updates to be available for distribution throughout the activity. Identify and support continuous improvements, process change, new technologies and ways of working. Highly computer and analytically literate with the ability to use information technology to enhance performance. Resilient and tenacious, able to work under pressure and own initiative to get things done. Highly motivated and an able communicator, both written and oral, and the capacity to forge good relationships quickly and at all levels. Good team player with proven motivational ability. Highly credible with strong management attributes with the ability to resolve and simplify data within an operational and commercial context. EXPERIENCE: Proven track records (up to date) of effective business development and project management (construction and installation) in relevant area to recycling resources management (at least 3-years’ experience). Strong commercial and financial understanding of business cases development & financial modelling. Good understanding of the Design, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning and handover to Operations process, including applicable legislation. Strong commercial knowledge of Construction Contracts, NEC3/4 and IChemE forms of contracting Understanding of UK Contractor market. Knowledge of the construction industry, Contract procurement, environmental legislation, H&S legislation and planning regulations. AutoCAD and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio). Track record of engineering and development of projects from concept phase (business case development), through project approval to construction, commissioning, testing and handover to operation while meeting cost, quality and time parameters in waste management or related engineering field. Proven experience of full lifecycle of project development of capital project in the UK. Experience in the recycling and waste management industry.
