Production Planner / Materials Controller - Matlock - £26,000 - £31,000 Chase & Holland are excited to be working with a leading manufacturing business who are recruiting a Production Planner/Materials Controller to join their team. This exciting new role will work closely with the Supply Chain Manager as the business looks to drive continuous improvement projects throughout the supply chain. Production Planner / Materials Controller Responsibilities: Create & maintain a production schedule to meet the business needs Forecast & legacy job housekeeping to maintain correct MRP demand for accurate Purchasing activity Ensure resources are available to meet the schedule (material, staff and capacity), maximising production efficiencies Maintain minimum/maximum stock levels, whilst working to internal/external lead times Work with the production management team to identify process and training opportunities to improve efficiency and capacity Work with purchasing to ensure that the production plan & material availability are fully aligned Update production jobs to suit changes in design or customer requirements, thus ensuring the production plan is delivered as required React quickly and decisively to issues that affect the schedule, communicating with appropriate departments to ensure risk is minimised, problems are resolved, and stakeholders are kept informed Use data to drive business efficiency improvements and optimise resource Record and administer departmental processors and KPIs Liaise with appropriate departments to introduce and drive new projects through inception to completion and delivery, ensuring they run to cost, time and quality targets Procuring direct & indirect materials in line with MRP Expediting order acknowledgements and purchase orders Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5pm (30 min lunch) Required Skills & Experience: Previous experience in Production Planning and improving efficiencies Previous Purchasing (confident communication/negotiation skills) Highly analytical and process driven MRP/ERP experience and good levels of MS Excel In Return You’ll Receive: 23 days’ annual leave bank holidays Pension scheme (3.5%) Free onsite parking If you are interested in finding out about this exciting Production Planner / Materials Controller opportunity, please click 'apply now’.
