Overview
This is a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer job in design, development of electro-mechanical products based in Rochester, Kent. Available on a contract basis for up to three months working for a company specialising in products for the Military, Marine, Aerospace and other Hi- tech markets. Your role as Senior Design Engineer You will be required to see a Design Project through to completion completing current designs from a Systems Level down to individual components. You will ensure all supporting technical documents, process instructions and test planning is in place. A comprehensive bill of materials will also be produced. Ensuring ensure the product life cycle reaches its conclusion with delivery into the manufacturing process. This will include liaison with the end client to ensure all design criteria are met. You will have experience of designing Electro-mechanical products and be available at short notice. The company uses Inventor CAD but any 3D CAD experience will be considered. You will have worked at both a System and Component level of design. Being comfortable designing products that can be used in harsh environments and to a high level of robustness and quality. The company is also recruiting for a Senior Design Engineering on a permanent basis. Therefore, an equivalent permanent role is available.
