Overview
Group Management Account Location: Southend-on-Sea, Essex Working hours: Monday - Friday 9-5:30pm Salary: £Negotiable, dependent on experience Reports to: Chief Financial Officer The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing Management Accounts and Management information for Group Companies. Main duties: Ensure timely and accurate production of monthly Management Accounts and Management information for Group Companies Preparation of quarterly VAT Returns Bank Reconciliations Bank transfers Journal posting including payroll Review and credit control debtors Authorise corporate sales invoices Year End procedures Assisting the Chief Financial Officer to prepare budgets and cashflow forecasting General Administration Profession skills: Part or fully ACA or ACCA qualified Previous experience of involvement in a "month-end" process is essential Advanced knowledge of Sage 50 is preferred Fully proficient in Microsoft programs such as Excel & Outlook Property background would be an advantage Key competencies: Strong attention to detail Excellent reconciliation skills Have an analytical mind Ability to prioritise and handle more than one task at a time Ability to act on own initiative Relationship-building skills Commercial awareness Good written and verbal communication Personal skills and other considerations: Team player Self-motivated Takes responsibility/ownership Well organised with ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure Positive, can-do mind set Good sense of humour Flexible Excellent telephone & communication Very adaptable to change Important information during Covid-19 Our office is temporarily closed during COVID-19, however, we are still monitoring emails.
