Apprenticeship Engineering Technician Level 3 Salary: £ 13000pa Working Week: 5 out of 7 days Duration: 48 Months Possible Start Date: 07/09/2020 Application Close Date: 01/05/2020 Carlsberg are looking for apprentices to join their engineering team. A Carlsberg apprenticeship will help you to develop the practical skills and knowledge that you will need to join our highly skilled engineering team. Duties in this exciting engineering team role will include: General and preventative tasks Production area machine breakdown attendance Equipment inspection Machine shop work Things to consider: Alcoholic manufacturing business - applicants must be aged 18 years Future shift work patterns will include weekends Ability to travel to both Milton Keynes College and the Brewery in Northampton This is a large site, so good mobility would be preferred Candidates who are selected by Carlsberg will be invited to participate in an assessment conducted at Carlsberg, wk commencing 6th July 2020 - we will make contact with all individuals concerned prior to this. Entry requirements Ideally you will have at least 6 x GCSEs to include Maths and English at grade C (5) or above. Desirable to have a STEM subject at grade C or above. Skills Required: A keen interest in engineering and a passion to work in the industry Demonstrate a good level of communication skills verbally and in writing Logical practical approach to tasks Aptitude for problem solving and fault finding Personal Qualities: Ability to learn in a fast-paced technical environment Demonstrate a professional attitude at all times Have a strong work ethic Qualifications taken: Apprenticeship Standard for Engineering Technician Full professional induction plan to ensure the best possible start to your Carlsberg career, training in all aspects of the role will be provided. Areas to be covered include: Refrigeration Systems, Steam and Hot Water Generators, High Speed Filing and Packing Equipment, Intro to Control Systems Engineering and Safe Working Practices.
